Overview
The MRX Bronco Howitzer is one of the only true backpack rifles available on the market and the shortest non-restricted firearm available in Canada. It is a short-barrelled, mag feed, bolt action rifle designed to fold into a 19″ package which allows it to slide completely into most day packs, making it the perfect companion when sharing the backcountry with large predators. The Howitzer uses the two-piece Bronco Adaptable Chassis System with a 7 inch fore-end. The chassis is made of aircraft grade aluminum and fitted with a compact folding stock that captures the bolt handle when closed. When fitted with our patent pending safety wedge, the FSS stock can be made to lock the safety in the “safe” position, making it unable to fire when the stock is folded.
The MRX Bronco Howitzer uses the Black Creek MRX SuperShort action, which can feed from AR15 magazines or the Black Creek 20 round MRX MAG. It is guaranteed to shoot 1.5 MOA with suggested commercial ammunition and is fitted with a TriggerTech REM700 field trigger, making it one of the smoothest shooting rifles available in its class.

FSS – Folding Safety System
When fitted with a safety wedge, the FSS stock locks the safety lever in the safe position when the stock is in the folded position. This makes the rifle non-operational when folded, making it ideal for backpack or other compact carry. The FSS cheekpiece can be adjusted for height and move forward and back using a spacer system.
MRX MAG
The MRX Bronco Howitzer feeds from both AR15 mags and the BCL MRX MAG, which is a proprietary bolt action magazine that will fit into the MRX, but not into an AR15. The MRX Mag holds 20 rounds, and is designed specifically to feed in the MRX rifles.
Trigger
The Bronco is fitted with a TriggerTech primary or field trigger. The TriggerTech is known as one of the smoothest single stage “zero creep” triggers on the market and can be adjusted from 3 to 5 pounds of pull.
